Angel's Herald: No Carbs Diet

No Carbs Diet

Yeah Right!!! Hahaha! Suman!! Here I'll imitate The Sassy Lawyer's Pinoy Cook Recipe sharing (akala mo naman ang hirap iprito ng suman).

Fried Suman and Mangoes. Traditionally, Suman can be served on a simple dip-in-sugar or matamis-na-bao (coco jam) way. So if you haven't tried fresh fried (or and caramelized) Suman yet, you're missing a lot!

Suman (Tubed Rice Cake). Would do great if fried on an exceedingly hot smoking skillet even before putting the butter/margarine (and yet again, waiting for it to produce smoke again). No sticky icky!

Immediately roll into a bowl of sugar, preferably confectioner's so the heat will melt the sugar a little bit.

That's what I ate last Maundy Thursday for merienda, the Suman was manually hand stirred and made by my 80-year old Grandmother, ouch. She also manually formulated the coco jam. Ouch Biceps!

And today, my younger brother picked up my cousins from the AFP theatre (recital practice for Sunday show), they are the meanest small devils ever. It's quite ironic how siga (manly) they are and yet in fact doing Ballet.

So I did some sandwich lovin' Yay Carbs! I don't know what to call this:

Filling: Earle's Delicatessen Bavarian Cheese Smoke, ED Chicken Steak (shaved cut), Fetta Cheese, Mozzarella Cheese, Sunnyside Up, Lettuce, Tomato, Hundred Thousand Island, Butter, Mayo, Dijon Mustard and Cucumber.

They just arrived -_-
