Look Who's Coming: Pepper Lunch
I so loved Pepper Lunch first in Hong Kong, I thought it's only present in Tokyo. And when I came to visit Singapore, I was surprised to know that they have, if I'm not mistaken the most number of branches and expresses. I ate with my room-mate Mucco and Foggy Chan.
I'm not a big fan of do-it-yourself restaurants like the more known Shabu-Shabu, Maruka, or Ojishan. But Pepper Lunch is different, no matter how boo of a chef/cook you are, the taste and quality of food is the same, extremely fresh meats, and it always seem to give you a smile while making your meal, you know, isip-bata. Hahaha.
The Magic is this iron plate. With its unique design patented in Japan, the iron plate is part of the successful formula of Pepper Lunch. Using a special electromagnetic cooker also patented in Japan, the iron plate will heat up to 260C in 70 seconds and remain hot (approximately 80C) for more than 20 minutes. Meat grilled at this ideal high temperature, remains tender and juicy. The plate keeps food warm for a longer time and customers can enjoy the full flavor of the dish. [Pepper Lunch Website]
